Neurological MRI is the most common form of Magnetic resonance imaging done today. Three of the largest sectors of growth in this application are imaging for surgical resection, functional imaging and imaging for stroke and trauma. There are tens of thousands of magnets performing neurological MRI across the world, and a dedicated magnet for neuro imaging would significantly improve access to these modalities. Currently there are no dedicated head MRI systems commercially available, and the market for these systems is estimated to be approximately 15% of the MRI market, or $200M per year.
