The development of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) is deemed as one of the most promising technological advances in material applications suitable for structural engineering. UHPC exhibits exceptional mechanical and structural durability properties. Researchers have innovated concepts of particle packing using nanotechnology to produce UHPC. However, the lack of design code provisions relevant to these materials presents a serious challenge to designers and the unfamiliarity of the material properties is driving the cost of UHPC. The successful use of this new material is dependent on further research to optimize our knowledge.
