英文摘要
The primary goal of the proposed project is to develop important and much needed innovative and integrated methods, procedures, and computerized tools that address and expand the benefits of using an at-grade train crossing information system ("Trainfo") as a key software element in an emergency dispatch system. The software will be based on real-time train positioning data, and will be developed and improved by applying advanced mathematical models to estimate the exact time and duration of trains' stops at selected crossings without the need for heavy hardware investments such as radar installation at the crossings. The software will initially be developed in Saskatoon and/or Regina.
