Photon Control R&D (Burnaby, B.C.) develops optical sensing instruments and it major product is fiber optic temperature sensors. Canadian oil and gas industries require sensors that can operate in hydrogen-rich environment. The company aims to develop phosphors that emit in the 750-850 nm range and, thus, circumvent the negative effects of hydrogen absorption in optic fibers. Photon Control R&D seeks Dr. Yurij Mozharivskyj's help and expertise in the synthesis and characterization of novel inorganic phosphors.
