This project is to develop new optical fibre based Molecular diagnostic systems to detect the presence of genetic mutations or infectious agents in bio-samples gathered in physician's offices or in the field. The optical fiber system is intended to form an integral part of a new generation of instruments to be developed by Spartan Biosciences Inc., a company that is already well established in the biomedical point of care instrumentation market.
