Animatrik Film Design Inc. (Animatrik) is a Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, supporting the film, television, and gaming industries through expertise in motion capture, pre-visualization and virtual cinematography. A key goal of Animatrik is to generate animations with realistic virtual character movement that is accurately reproduced from human motion data obtained from motion capture. During a motion capture recording session, human actors are outfitted with reflective markers placed on key body positions; the locations of these markers are localized and tracked by a set of high speed cameras. The positions of the markers are then used to reconstruct the pose of the human skeleton in terms of the joint
