项目摘要
The University of Waterloo requires a high-throughput system for evaluating markers of inflammation ('cytokines') that is able to provide the reproducibility, reliability, robustness, and accuracy required for conducting research on the efficacy and tolerability of new medical device materials and pharmaceuticals. Currently, the most well respected and researched high-throughput system for measuring cytokines in biological fluids is a relatively new instrument - Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) SECTOR Imager. The immunological assays that run on this system have ultra-low detection limits, a large range, and require minimal sample to detect cytokines. This system will serve 4 faculty members in three different Departments/Schools at the University of Waterloo, namely Optometry, Pharmacy and Systems Design Engineering.
