Our group studies novel user interfaces for virtual reality and visual analytics. The goals of the research range from fundamental insights into human perception, cognition, behaviours, actions, and communications over better 3D user interfaces, to improved virtual reality avatars and better interaction methods for problem solving in visual analytics. This proposal seeks funding to build a sophisticated, flexible display system that will provide person-height screens in configurations ranging from a closed hexagon to a straight display wall and provide for interaction and surround sound.
