Current dedicated systems for human performance assessment in sports and rehabilitation use specialized,**costly hardware and software. The relative inaccessibility and cost of such hardware makes it difficult for**athletes or patients to train regularly with such equipment. Overall, this poses challenges towards broadening**the user base for performance assessment systems. A deeper issue is that traditional performance assessment**tests focus either on speed or accuracy, but do not take the natural speed-accuracy trade-off into account. This**project aims to evaluate a new, more affordable system for performance assessment based on VR hardware. By**using a well-established throughput-based measure that takes both speed and accuracy into account, the**outcomes will enable better comparisons across athlete and patient performance. Finally, correlating results**with eye movement data will enable better guidance for sports training.
