SAIT is requesting support from the NSERC CCI Applied Research Tools and Instruments program for the purchase and installation of Equipment for Multi Gas Analysis of Air Pollutants. The collection includes a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer, automated air sampling system with pump and filters, computer, dehumidifier and instrument training for staff. This collection will enable ARIS staff to perform applied research with industry partners to address industrial impacts on air quality, as it will support the measurement of the concentration of select air pollutants as part of applied research with industry partners. Portable components of the collection will support field activities as well as laboratory-based environmental research requiring the measurement of greenhouse gasses, volatile organic compounds and other air pollutants.
