The proposed research is applicable to Canadian developers, parents and educators. Canadian school districts are increasingly challenged to approach learning in a way that inspires collaboration and creativity using technology. Canadian parents also feel a deep need for the development of digital programs that facilitate shareable experiences that enhance, rather than replace, real life human interaction. This is new research collaboration with Storyvalues. Storytelling is the world's oldest form of communication as well as a tradition shared by every culture on earth. For generations, the narrative form has been used to pass along information, experiences, dreams and cultural traditions. Nevertheless, the practical and transformative power of storytelling is largely unexplored within modern education. This project is proposed to develop a narrative based interactive online platform with distributed high dimensional multimedia data and recommendation strategy for home use that will measurably increase parental involvement and student success at school. It is expected that the proposed research will bring significant contributions to both big data theory and real life applications. The innovation lies in two perspectives. Firstly, this project will propose the optimal classification and recommendation strategies to suggest the best future online learning plan and possible improvement areas for users. Secondly, aimed at Storyvalues's specific situation, we will provide a novel and incentive web interactive system with on-line learning evaluation and recommendation strategy. This research will explore the effectiveness of shareable, narrative-based technology in addressing these needs and help inform the development of new programs.
