英文摘要
NanoF-PoRes (Nano-Filaments from polymeric residues) is a synergetic project between PRIMA, KWIPolymers, Soleno and Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) based on UdeS intellectual property (IP), and thenano-additive dispersion technology of KWI Polymers. The overall objective of the project is the developmentand scale-up of a carbon nanofilaments (CNF) synthesis process, which includes R&D work on two novelthermocatalytic reactors configurations (an auto-thermal pyrolyzer (ATP) and a fluid+mobile catalytic bed)and the evaluation of the so-derived product (CNF) as a polymers additive. The process is based on US patent7,794,690 on Carbon sequestration and US patents applications 20,070,253,886, 20,050,220,695 owned byUdeS. The first step of the project is to adapt the patented process to use non-recyclable polymers (which aredisposed in landfills) as raw materials to produce the synthetic gas+liquid. The catalyst for the hydrocarbonreforming is based on US patent application 20,120,273,728 and needs to be integrated in the proposedprocess. The catalyst for CNF growth is based on US patent application 20,090,203,519 and will be adapted tothe process to control the shape and catalyst % contained in the CNF. A 1kg/h CNF synthesis kg-lab reactorand an ATP reactor processing the waste/residual polymers will be developed during the project and thesynthesized CNF will be compounded by the KFusionTM process developed by KWI specially to integrateadditives. The overall plus-value generated by this project is that waste/residual polymers will be valorised asCNF, which, as additives, raise the quality of recycled polymers so that KWI recycled composite polymers willmeet the specifications expected by its partner Soleno.
