Conversational interface for smart city platform

The private company B-CITI is working, in collaboration with several Canadian cities, to create a unified smartcity app platform that will give citizens easy access to all their municipal services and visitors quick answers totheir questions. However, designing a single user interface to access a multitude of different services indifferent cities while still being easy to understand by casual users has proved a major challenge. In this project,we propose to develop a conversational user interface that users can interact with as they would a friend in amessaging service. This interface will understand the user's questions and automatically query the differentmunicipal services the platform has access to in order to discover the answer. It will then return that answer tothe user in their on-going conversation, and through the continued conversation it will get the user's feedbackand modify or refine the question and answer.
