Pilot ambient noise tomography study for mineral exploration potential

Western University is partnering with Stillwater Canada Inc. to perform a pilot geophysical survey to imagesubsurface geology at 1-5 km depth within the Coldwell Alkaline Complex in Marathon, Ontario. A passiveseismic survey will be conducted to assess the frequency content of the background seismic noise (ambientvibrations) wavefield at the site and its suitability to image to the depths of interest. The outcomes of this pilottesting project will impact future mineral exploration development at the site.
