Hayabusa Fightwear Inc. (HFI) of Kingston Ontario is a leading developer and manufacturer of protective fighting equipment forboxing, MMA and other forms of combat sports. To remain an industry leader, the company is looking to take a leading role inimproving the safety of their striking (punching and kicking) products.Working with the applied research department at St. Lawrence College, HFI, college researchers and students intend to develop arepetitive striking machine / Glove Test Apparatus (GTA) to test various foams and foam combinations to improve upon the safetyand durability of the companys products.
