**St. Lawrence College and Greyline Instruments of Long Sault, Ontario have developed a research partnership to investigate their technology for its effectiveness at monitoring flows throughout the craft beer production process. With brewing ratios as high as 13 liters of water to produce 1 liter of beer, water management is a major concern in the industry and getting accurate readings for water management has been problematic. ****Greyline is interested in assessing the use their technology to address flow and volume quantification in the craft beer sector, specifically during key processes. The craft brewing industry is rapidly growing across Canada, and a need has been identified by the craft brewing sector for a "clamp-on and go" flow meter that can accurately measure stop-and-go flow at different stages in the brewing process.****With the assistance of the research team at the Cornwall campus of St. Lawrence College, this partnership will be studying a variety of flow meters to help Greyline Instruments improve upon their current flow meters and adapt their product for the craft brewing process.**For additional information about this project, please contact:****Ian Dick**Industry Liaison, Applied Research**(613) 544-5400 x 1459**
