Extent to CTAV ''Centre de technologie des alliages avancés'' (2009-2014) will allow the continuity of researchactivities related to metal forming of advanced alloys including melting with plasma arc melting technique,alloying with high melting point elements and melting of nickel alloys. The main outcomes of the project willbe a consolidation of the Cégep de Trois Rivières research team on advanced alloys, new expertise with plasmamelting and metallurgy of high melting point elements. The participation of three Cégep teacher and studentsgives them access to a unique technology in Canada. Two of the initial partners of the first IE grant willdevelop with us advanced alloy recycling methods for the production of forging billets or remelting ingots.Two new partners are added to the initiative with interest respectively in the production of specialty metalpowders/recycling and machining activities. Result and knowledge developed within the initiative willcontribute to open new markets to our partner and bring new services to Canadian SME.
