The main objective of the proposed research is to develop a simulation method in which a physical scaled model of a high-rise**building will be tested in a wind tunnel testing facility. The flexibility and energy dissipation mechanism of the scaled model will be**represented as a computer model. The computer model and the physical model will interact with each other in real time through**sensors feedback and control of an electric actuator. The development of the simulation method is expected to greatly simplify**testing model preparation and calibration of model parameters such as stiffness and damping ratio, because these will be**modelled numerically. The research project is aimed at substantially reducing the testing cost (machine time and engineering time)**of the industry partner, which will allow further wind tunnel testing opportunities.
