CleanO2 Carbon Capture Technologies Inc. is a Calgary-based small company that has developed a new carbon capture and utilization technology which captures carbon from the flue gas of a commercial boiler and produces valuable sodium carbonate as a by-product. The technology has been successfully proven and is attracting buyers in Western Canada. The company wishes to work with the SAIT Applied Research and Innovation Services department to design and test improvements that will optimize performance, reduce costs and enhance manufacturing and assembly processes. The proposed project builds on an initial collaboration which was supported by the NSERC Engage Grants for Colleges program, and the Campus Alberta Small Business Engagement program of Alberta Innovates.
