The College of New Caledonia (CNC) and Sanderson Concrete Inc. have partnered to research wood-Portlandcement compatibility for several wood species common to Lower Mainland, such as cedar, hemlock andDouglas fir.Sanderson Concrete will benefit from this study by gaining the technical and scientific knowledge that wouldallow them to develop an unique wood-cement material that would potentially expand their existing line ofprecast concrete applications into new markets.Faculty and students from our College will have the opportunity to engage in an applied research project thatwill cover a wide
