Lomak Bulk Carrier Corporation (Lomak), based in Prince George, is an innovative bulk transportation company serving the mining and forestry industry in northern British Columbia. Lomak has implemented an innovative strategy to attract and retain truck drivers through training and development programs.Lomak and the College of New Caledonia (CNC) are partnering in a new research collaboration seeking to: (i) evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs in regard to meeting the company's employee retention objectives and (ii) analyze the impact of the training program on employee's wellbeing.
