The CRC Tier 2 in Viticulture aims to investigate the responses of grape quality to climates, in order to develop mitigation strategies (e.g., canopy management, water-saving irrigation, etc.) to optimize and make more sustainable the grape productions in current and future climates. During the tenure of this CRC Tier 2, I will continue to develop an internationally leading research program in viticulture that will i) generate key scientific contributions for the advancement of the knowledge in grape physiology and viticulture; ii) train HQP in viticulture; and iii) and provide knowledge support and technology transfer to the Canadian grape and wine industry.
