英文摘要
Key D.H. Technologies (KDHT) is a Canadian-owned and operated private corporation who is fully invested in developing and expanding the world's market for deuterium and deuterium-enriched chemicals. KDHT is the world's leading supplier of bulk deuterium oxide, and their capabilities also include upgrading and refining deuterium oxide (D2O), electrolysis of deuterium oxide for capture of deuterium gas (D2), and large-scale manufacturing of deuterium-enriched organic small molecules. As the largest worldwide provider of deuterium oxide for non-nuclear applications, KDHT is wholly invested in developing new deuterium-based revenue streams and accessing new markets. KDHT enters the deuterium-enriched chemical feedstock market from an advantageous position stemming from their unparalleled access to bulk D2O, and from their ability to refine and upgrade deuterium waste water streams. These two criteria present a unique opportunity to develop new intellectual property, where the resulting chemical processes offer tremendous potential for realizing corporate growth and for positively impacting various industries and society.By continuing their partnership with the Murphy laboratory at the University of Waterloo, KDHT will gain access to the required personnel, expertise, equipment and research facilities necessary to rapidly accelerate their fundamental R&D of these new products. The Murphy lab will provide expertise in chemical synthesis to develop and transfer novel, scalable and reproducible syntheses of high-value deuterated chemical feedstocks such as aromatics, amines, alcohols and their derivatives. The Murphy lab will develop new analytical methods for characterizing the novel feedstocks, and support the adoption of these processes and techniques for commercializing these new products.
