Dr. Dennison¿s research program delivers the tools required to develop the next generation of injury protection devices for the human head, brain and neck. Leveraging Dr. Dennison¿s internationally unique and combined expertise in both biomechanics and advanced instrumentation, he develops mechanically-realistic models of the head, brain and neck with in-built measurement systems quantifying the potential for injury caused by blunt impact and blast. These models are used to examine injury mechanics, ultimately changing the way that protection devices are certified, tested and designed so that Canadians have the best possible protection from debilitating head-brain and neck injury.
