Rebuilding the waste lands in Korea, 1850-1945

作者利用历史资料、文献、地图、图片等资料，试图重建1850-1945年朝鲜山区的荒原。结果，得到如下几点：1。在日本政府管理的时代之前，荒地在韩国占主导地位。自1900年以来，特别是在朝鲜，荒地因轮作而扩大。在荒地上尝试植树造林。造林的某些部分是成功的。然而，这些病例仅限于靠近城市地区的上层地区，由于人口增长，这些地区需要大量的饮用水。

Author tried to rebuild the waste lands in mountain areas of Korea, 1850-1945, by using historical materials, documents, maps, pictures and the other.As a results, some points obtained are as follows.1. Waste lands were dominant in south Korea before the age managed by Japanese government.2. Waste lands were expanded by the shifting cultivation especially in north Korea since 1900.3. Afforestation was tried in waste lands. Some parts of afforestation were success. However these cases were restricted to the upper areas near urban areas that needed much dringking water due to the growth of population.
