Multiple scattering analysis for estimating the structure of heavy rain using by the satellite radar

本研究的目的是借由波束波的多重散射分析来估计暴雨的结构。当波束宽度小于散射平均自由长度时，多重散射效应与平面波入射时有很大不同。实际的雷达回波包括较高的散射一般高估了真实的降雨率。实际上，单次散射和考虑多次散射的雷达回波的比较表明，多次散射的雷达回波更强。

This research is aiming at the estimation of the structure of the heavy rain by examining the multiple scattering analysis for beam waves. For beam width smaller than the scattering mean free length, the multiple scattering effects differ greatly from those for the plane wave incidence. The actual radar echo including the higher scattering generally overestimates the real rain rate. In fact, the comparison of the radar echo between the single scattering the multiple scattering taken into account shows the stronger radar echo by the multiple scattering.
