French pronominal passive as a secondary predication construction

人们经常观察到法语的代词被动语态与英语的中间结构有一些不同。我们在之前的研究中指出，从语义解释的角度来看，法语代词被动语态并不构成一个同质类，而是分为两类。第一组表达可能性情态，表现出与英语中间结构相似的特征。另一方面，第二组表现的是必然情态，在英语中没有对应的情态。在本研究中，我们引入了另一组，与第二组相比，它同样表达了必然情态，但在句法和语义上存在差异。本研究分析了这三个群体的特点及其异同。

The French pronominal passive has often been observed to exhibit some differences from English middle constructions. In our previous studies, we pointed out that from a semantic interpretation viewpoint, the French pronominal passive does not constitute a homogeneous class but rather is divided into two groups. The first group expresses the modality of possibility and demonstrates characteristics similar to those of English middle constructions. On the other hand, the second group shows the modality of necessity and has no English counterpart. In the present study, we introduce yet another group which, when compared with the second group, equally expresses the modality of necessity but shows syntactic and semantic differences. The characteristics of the three groups as well as their similarities and differences are analysed in this study.
