The formation of the stratified structure of Asian regionalarchitecture and the United States

在这一研究项目下，通过使用美国政府和东亚国家政府的区域政策文件、地区机构的文件和关于亚洲地区机构发展过程和美国参与亚洲地区机构发展过程的报纸和杂志文章，构建了一个关于亚洲地区架构形成的数据库。通过对这些文献、文章和数据库的分析，初步得出的结论是，由于美国在东亚的矛盾地位刺激了该地区各种区域机构的发展，亚洲区域架构的分层结构已经构建起来。

Under this research project, a database on the formation of Asian regional architecture is constructed by using documents on regional policies of US government and East Asian countries' governments, documents by regional institutions and articles of newspapers and magazines on a process of development of regional institutions in Asia and on US involvement in it. Analyzing these documents, articles and the database resulted in the tentative conclusion that a stratified structure of Asian regional architecture has been constructed because the ambivalent position of the United States in East Asia stimulated development of various regional institutions in this region.
