This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. We are poised to understand if CD1d expression by B cells and/or DCs is required for NKT-enhanced Ab responses. This is a critical first step in understanding the mechanisms by which CD1d-restricted NKT cells enhance Ab responses. Our findings will direct the experiments in Aim 2 and may guide future vaccine strategies.
