This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Purpose: This study was designed to learn more about potential mechanisms of drug-induced cellular injury. Human lymphocytes from healthy volunteers will be obtained. In-vitro experiments will be carried out in peripheral lymphocytes to assess intra-subject and inter-subject variability in sensitivity to acetaminophen toxicity. Participants: 100 Healthy Volunteers Procedures (methods): In vitro cell viability assays and flow cytometry will be used to assess lymphocyte sensitivity to toxicity caused by acetaminophen
