Study interactions between lung microbiota and immune cells in NSCLC

We have established nanoString GeoMx as a reliable spatial-transcriptomic platform and developed a novel bacteria detection method that employs customized nanoString 16s rRNA probes. This generates spatial information on lung microbiota in Formalin-fixed Paraffin-embedded (FFPE) preserved lung cancer samples, laying the groundwork for large-scale analysis of lung microbiota in lung cancer samples.It has effectively detected lung microbiota in lung cancer tissues and was validated by using germ free samples. Our preliminary study has identified enriched bacteria burden near tumor regions.
