Financial assistance is asked for printing the 2-in-1 volume 4/5 affiliated with the facsimile edition of the so-called Bretke’s Bible (i.e. the translation of Luther’s Bible into Lithuanian, 8 volumes in handwriting, be written in Königsberg and Labiau between 1570 and 1590; now records of GStA PK in Berlin). By publishing this 2-in-1 volume, the facsimile edition of Bretke’s Bible would be completed. Therefore, a main source of the old Lithuanian language as well as an unique cultural monument regarding Prussia of the 16th c. would be opened up.
