项目摘要

2022年度には，自らのセルフスタディを学会発表や論文化するとともに，学校教員や大学院生と意見交換を行ってきた。その結果，セルフスタディは「即効薬」ではないが，自己の相対化から実践課題を解決に導くヒントを提供してくれるという研究方法上の特性が，対人専門職である教師や教師教育者にとっての魅力であることがわかった。具体的な研究成果を以下の通りに要約した。（1）教育観・教育方法の発展：①教育実践において、子どもや学生の多様な興味・関心，その背景にある多様な文化を尊重する教育観や教育方法を創出するためにも，教師教育者や教師は自己の「強み」を大切にすることが重要である。②教師の権威性に向かい合い，時にそれを手放す用意も必要である。③子どもたちの主体性の尊重のためにも，教師を目指す学生たちの主体性を大事にし，彼らの主体性を発揮できる環境を用意する。③興味関心を同じくする教師教育者がつながる組織や制度の存在によって専門性開発が促進される，などである。（2）教師あるいは教師教育者としての生き方・あり方の探究：セルフスタディは，教育者としての自己理解から自他尊重の姿勢・態度の獲得につながる。また自分を常に変革可能な状態におくことができる。より良い教育実践のためには，教師や教師教育者の自律的かつ継続的なセルフスタディは一定の意義を持つであろう。一方で課題もある。日本社会では，自分を語るということはあまり肯定的に評価されない。セルフスタディの実践から課題解決へのプロセスや，異世代・異分野の教師や教師教育によるセルフスタディを促進する方法や環境の解明も必要である。またセルフスタディは，学術的研究でもある。教師や教師教育者の語りは個人的な体験であると同時に，社会に埋め込まれた価値観や規範を内包させている。教育者の認識の枠組みや学校文化の内実を明らかにすることによって学術的価値も高まる。
