项目摘要

本研究課題は、これまで十分に研究されてきたとは言えないディケンズの作品における風景の表現を、作品執筆の意図や作品の主題との関係も考察しながら、多角的に分析することを目的としている。3年目の令和4年度における研究実績は以下の2点である。(1) 昨年度の研究実績の概要に記載した、小説『大いなる遺産』と『二都物語』における風景描写を論じた論文について、校正作業を全て終了した。本論文は令和5年6月刊行の国際雑誌*Dickens Quarterly* Vol. 40, No. 2に掲載予定である。(2) 令和4年7月、国際学会Dickens Societyでのラウンドテーブル Dickens, Decolonization and Global Political Emergencies において、“Exploring Decolonial Reading Possibilities:*Oliver Twist*, *Shoplifters*, and Silenced Voices”と題した口頭発表をおこない、現代日本で制作された映画作品について、その都市の風景の表現などに、ディケンズの作品における社会性が間接的に継承されている可能性を議論した。(3) 同年12月、(2)に記載した原稿を大幅に加筆修正して、日本英文学会関西支部で口頭発表をおこなった。なお、一昨年度の研究実績の概要に記載した、書籍『西洋村落譚』（リアリズム文学研究会編、初校作成待ち、堀之内出版）および『名作入門シリーズ「大いなる遺産」（仮題）』(佐々木徹監修、初校作成待ち、大阪教育図書）の原稿については、どちらも初校作成が遅れている。

This research topic is to study the relationship between landscape and writing, and the relationship between landscape and writing. 3 years of research and 4 years of research achievements are as follows: (1)The summary of the research results of the previous year was recorded, and the novel "Dazhong Neishi" and "Erdu Monogatari" were described. The paper was discussed and the correction work was completed. Dickens Quarterly* Vol. 40, No. 2, published in June 2005, is the first edition of this paper. (2)In July 2004, Dickens Society, an international society, discussed the topic "Exploring Decolonization Reading Possibilities:*Oliver Twist*, *Shoplifters*, and Silenced Voices," and the topic "Exploring Decolonization Reading Possibilities:*Oliver Twist*, *Shoplifters*, and Silenced Voices." (3)December of the same year,(2) the manuscript was greatly revised, and the Kansai branch of the Japanese English Society was orally presented. A summary of the research results of the previous year was recorded in the book "Western Village"(edited by the Literature Research Association and prepared by the first school to be published in Horiuchi) and the manuscript of "Introduction to Famous Works"(title)(supervised by Sasaki Toru, prepared by the first school to be published, Osaka Education Book).
