今年度は現地へ渡航し、ペルー南部クスコ市の教会で奉納品に関する調査を実施した。今回調査をおこなったＣ教会は、本研究課題の調査対象に選定した三つの教会のなかでも歴史的に古い先住民の居住区の一つとして知られ、伝統的にそうした教会周辺に居住する地元住民が教会を支える重要な存在となってきた。この教会には本尊である聖人Ｘのほか、これと同様に古くからこの教会に祀られてきた聖人Ｙに奉納された衣装類（ケープ、マントほか）が多数保管されており、現地調査では双方の聖人の奉納品のすべてを記録した。聖人Ｘについては57点のケープと関連するアイテム57点、聖人Ｙはケープ49点と関連アイテム66点を確認した。分析の結果、これらの奉納品のうち、前者は1940年代、後者は1950年代のものが現存するものとしてはもっとも古いことが判明した。また聖人Ｘに寄せられた奉納品にはこの聖人の持物と関わる表象が繰り返し刻まれている一方、聖人Ｙには寄進者の家系を表す紋章がたびたびみられ、当該教会の主聖人に対する地元有力者の影響がうかがえた。これらの情報を補完するために、双方の聖人を支える組織（兄弟会）の関係者に聞き取りを実施し、Ｃ教会の聖人崇拝の動向や祭礼に関する情報を収集した。以上の調査で得られた情報とこれまでに調査をおこなってきた二つの教会の状況を比較することで、それぞれに歴史的背景や社会階層の異なる人びとが集まる三つの教会（Ａ～Ｃ教会）の寄進の実態や特徴がみえてきた。特に近年は近隣の村落から市内に移住してきた人たちの影響により、寄進の質や量が変容してきている点が浮かび上がってきた。今後はこうしたなかで、寄進という宗教実践が人びとの信仰や帰属意識などさまざまな要因といかに関わっているかを考察していきたい。
