Dictionary of Irish verbs and verbal locutions

The project aims at the compilation of a dictionary of verbs in Modern Irish (min. 300 lemmata). Main focus is on the syntactic and semantic properties and the internal differentiation along such lines, seeing that the existing lexicographical sources do not focus on these essential criteria in a reasoned and exact way. The results will add to the scientific description of Irish considerably; they are also of general linguistic/typological interest, seeing that Irish exhibits many idiosyncratic features in this regard. Furthermore, the importance of verb dictionaries, especially with a focus on valency, is shown by the existence of well-received works for a number of other languages, including 'large' European ones.
