当該年度は、現地における有識者ヒアリング及び関連する文献調査等を中心に研究を進めた。有識者ヒアリング等から得られた主な知見は、以下の通りである。災害復興や防災教育の過程において現地の学術研究機関が果たす媒介機能を活用するにあたり、インドネシアの大学に固有な学生による活動であるKKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata）の存在に着目するべきとの指摘が複数のインドネシア人研究者よりなされた。KKNとは大学のカリキュラムに含まれている「実践活動授業」であり、大学教育の一環として3カ月程度の期間、学生が主に貧困な村に滞在し実施する社会奉仕活動を指す。なお、KKNは学生が地域社会の中で地域社会の構成員と共に当該地域社会の向上に資するべく活動することを旨とした大学での教育プログラムであり、大学によってはKKNが必修科目とされている等、多くの大学生がKKNに関与している。他方、大学における防災に係る活動はKKNには限定されず、University Forumの枠組みでも実施されているとの指摘があった。その上で、University Forumの枠組みによる防災活動への参加の有無について、アンケート調査における質問項目に加えるべきとの見解が示された。また、インドネシア人研究者から、University Forumが大学内における防災活動（例えば避難訓練など）を活性化するために有効に機能しているか否か、及びUniversity Forumの枠組みによる防災活動が地域社会にとって有益であるか否かについて、質問項目に加えるべきであるとの意見も出された。本研究に関連した成果として、これまでに複数の原著論文をWeb of Science Core Collection及びScopusに掲載された英文学術誌で公刊している。

In the process of disaster recovery and disaster prevention education, the local academic research institutions have made use of the media functions, such as the activities of the students in the university, the existence of the KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata), and the activities of the researchers. KKN provides guidance on practical activities for university education, including teaching, a three-month period of university education, and social activities for students living in poor villages. KKN students are members of the regional society and participate in the activities of the regional society. Other parties, universities, disaster prevention activities, KKN, University Forum, etc. In addition, the opinions of the participants in the disaster prevention activities organized by the University Forum and the inquiry items were shown. The University Forum has been active in disaster prevention activities within the university (e.g., evacuation training), and the University Forum has been active in disaster prevention activities within the region and society. The results of this study were published in the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus.
