本研究の目的は、近年のクリティカル領域の現場において国際的な潮流の中で枢要な概念と謳われているfamily-centered careに則った患者家族と看護職者が協働関係のもとに最善の家族ケアモデルを確立することである。そのために行ったICUスタッフへの質的予備調査の結果から【家族の定義】や【理想的な家族との協働】、【家族との協働のための交渉】、【家族との協働のための信頼関係】などが抽出された。また、この結果も参考にしつつ、ICUにおける看護職者と患者家族の協働に関して、看護師が認識する家族のケアへの参加を促進する要因を明らかにすることができる尺度（Questionnaire on Factors That Influence Family Engagement-Japanese Version: QFIFE-J）の開発を行った。QFIFE-Jは、原版のQFIFEの開発者であるHatlandに翻訳版作成の承諾を得て作成し、国内のICUに従事する看護師を対象に調査を行い開発した。本尺度は【ICUの環境】、【患者の状態】、【看護師の業務】、【看護師の意識】の4因子15項目で構成され、6件法で評価する自記式質問紙である。信頼性と妥当性の評価を行い、高い信頼性と妥当性が担保された尺度であることが確認された。さらに、本尺度を用いて属性による得点の差を共分散構造分析にてICUにおける看護師の家族との協働の特徴を検証した結果、【ICUの環境】と【患者の状態】は共分散関係にあり、それぞれが【看護師の業務】に影響を与えて【看護師の意識】に影響する構造モデルであることが明らかとなった。本年度も前年度に引き続き主に海外の家族看護領域の研究者間でのweb会議による情報交換や本プロジェクトに関する尺度開発を通じて、研究結果の解釈を行なった。これらより、次年度の計画遂行に必要な研究成果を得られた。
