本研究では、夫の転勤がその家族に与える影響に関する実証研究を行っていく。転居を伴う人事異動である転勤は、多くの企業で実施されている。しかし、その転勤が家族に与える影響を実証的に分析されている研究はほとんどない。本研究は、いくつかの大規模個票データを用いて（１）夫の転居を伴う異動が妻の労働供給に与える影響と（２）夫の転居を伴う異動が夫婦のメンタルヘルスに与える影響を考察した上で、（３）単身赴任世帯における子どもの認知能力・非認知能力に関する分析を行う。これらの結果を元に、多様な労働力の活用において何が必要となってくるかの政策的インプリケーションを導くことが目的である。本年度は、リクルートワークス研究所「全国就業実態調査（JPSED）」を用いて、「夫の転居を伴う異動が妻の労働供給や主観的厚生に与える影響」の分析を進めた。現時点での分析の結果、夫の転勤に家族帯同する場合、妻の就業確率も労働時間も低くなる傾向にあり、夫の転勤に伴って妻が労働調整を行っていることが示された。また、妻の生活満足度に関しては、家族帯同の場合は、転勤後に低くなっており、夫が単身赴任の場合は、転勤時、転勤後に低くなっていることが分かった。これらの結果をまとめ、国際学会での報告申し込みを行った。加えて、慶應義塾大学パネルデータ設計解析センター「日本子どもパネル調査（JCPS）」を用いて、「単身赴任世帯における子どもの認知能力・非認知能力に関する分析」の分析も進め、こちらも国際学会への報告申し込みを行った。さらに、乳幼児期の肥満に関する国際比較研究が英文学術誌に掲載された。
