本研究の目的は国内調査と海外調査を基盤に、高校生への中途退学未然予防及び進路移行における効果的な学校ソーシャルワーク支援プログラムを開発していくことにある。2020年度は、高等学校の教務担当教員を対象に中途退学未然防止に関するアンケート調査を実施した。この調査結果では、スクールソーシャルワーカー（以下、SSWと記す）の配置について全日制で60.1％、定時制で78.7％が必要との回答であった。2021年度は、都道府県及び政令指定都市教育委員会高校教育課を対象に、SSWの配置状況の有無について、SSWを配置している場合のSSWに期待する支援役割について明らかにしていくことであった。この調査結果では、SSWの配置状況に違いが見られたが、回答されたすべての教育委員会からはSSWが必要であるとの結果であった。これらの調査結果より、SSWに求められる高等学校現場での中途退学未然防止に向けたSSWの役割を明らかにすることができた。さらに、2021・2022年度は、福岡県内の高等学校に配置されている経験豊富なSSWに対して、中途退学未然防止に向けて取り組んでいる支援内容の聴き取り調査を実施した。これらの一連の調査結果を含めて、高等学校でのSSWによる中途退学未然防止及び切れ目のない進路移行に向けた学校ソーシャルワーク支援プログラムを明示した。研究成果は冊子「高等学校中途退学未然防止に向けたスクールソーシャルワーカーの支援役割研究」を発刊し、高等学校でのSSW活用を推進していくために、都道府県及び政令指定都市教育委員会高校教育課に発送した。なお、海外でのSSWに対する聞き取り調査においては、コロナ禍のため海外渡航ができず、実施できなかった。

The purpose of this study is to provide support for overseas education programs in China, the failure of high school students to drop out of school halfway and the results of their transfer.
