本研究の目的は，シンガポール，マレーシア，インドネシア，台湾等のアジア諸国及び地域の美術教育において「創造性とイノベーション」「新しい価値を創 造する力」の育成のための教育内容と実施状況，さらに創造性や新しい価値の内実がどのようなものかを明らかにし，これを社会文化的背景を踏まえて分析するこ とを通して，アジアの美術教育の特徴的な機能として創造性開発を位置づけることである。具体的な達成目標は次の通りである。(1)上記の地域の美術教育において，「創造性開発」や「新しい価値の創造」のための能力育成がどのように計画，実施されているかを明らかにする。(2)美術教育の成果としての「創造性開発」や「新しい価値の創造」が，具体的にどのような能力やとして学習者に認識されているかを明らかにする。(3)これらを社会文化的背景を踏まえて分析し，アジアの美術教育の特徴的な機能として創造性開発を位置づける。令和４年度は，令和２年度から続く新型コロナウイルス感染症に伴って海外渡航のめどが立たず，前年度同様に現地調査を実施できなかった。研究代表者及と研究分担者の研究打ち合わせは，オンラインで実施し，適宜情報を共有している。文献オンラインを通しての得られた情報をもとに対象地域のカリキュラム改革，美術教育カリキュラム，創造性教育に関する考察を行った。達成目標(1)に関する成果として，インドネシアの中学校美術において，育成が求められる資質形成と文化創造の関係を教科書題材から構造的に捉えることができた。（2)については，シンガポールにおける芸術文化振興事業であるOur SG Arts Planの事業内容を確認し，美術教育カリキュラムとの緊密な関係性を導いた。(3)については，社会的創造性の概念を検討し，シンガポールのOur SG Arts Planとや美術教育カリキュラムとの関係性を導いた。
