项目摘要

【研究①ミクロ計量分析の実施状況】研究①では、森林所有者の森林保全プログラムへの参加において、金銭的インセンティブと社会的インセンティブとが意思決定に与える効果を検証した。森林所有者の時系列の参加情報と所有する森林の時空間情報を組み合わせ、社会的インセンティブと金銭的インセンティブの効果をミクロ計量分析によって推定した。昨年度までは、(1) 金銭的インセンティブの効果、(2) 社会的インセンティブの効果をそれぞれ分析した。本年度は、(1)と(2)の研究を発展させるとともに、構築したデータセットを拡張することで、(3) 金銭的・社会的インセンティブの効果を同時に分析する研究を実施した。(1)-(3)の一連の研究によって、研究①の目的は達成された。以上の研究のうち、(1)は本年度、英文学術誌に掲載された。同研究は国内外の学会でも高い評価を受け、環境経済・政策学会からベストSpeed Talk賞を受賞した。(2)と(3)は今後に投稿予定である。【研究②経済実験の実施状況】研究②では、久万高原町で新たに開始した森林保全プログラムに着目し、研究①で得られた知見を基に、プログラムへの参加を促す仕組みをデザインし、その効果をフィールド実験によって検証した。新型コロナウイルスの影響を考慮し、郵送調査という形で179名の森林所有者を対象に経済実験を実施した。実験の結果は久万高原町に報告し、共同研究者と共に追加の実験実施を検討している。本年度は経済実験の理解を深めるため、金銭的インセンティブや社会的インセンティブが環境保全行動に与える効果を検証するための実験研究にも取り組んだ。金銭的インセンティブに着目した研究は英文学術誌に掲載された。両インセンティブを一つの枠組みで検証した研究は、学会やワークショップで高い評価を受けており、英文学術誌に投稿済みである。
