In FY2022 the research confirmed the findings about the importance of user-friendliness of ODR procedures. Also, it expanded the analysis on a) the difficulties of creating legislation which could be acceptable to all the relevant stakeholders and b) a substantial different approach between civil law (especially in the EU) and common law jurisdictions (especially the US). The EU seems less concerned with the merits of ODR from a technical perspective, and focuses on using them to keep disputes out of the court system. The US tend to study more in detail the structure of the procedure, and stressed the merits of ODR in itself. FY2022 was used to consolidate the research results, and to disseminate them among a selected group of scholars and practictioners, expecially some with connections with policy makers.The highlight were an invited lecture at the JAA Research Division, as well as the organization of the UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day 2022 and a special lecture.
