项目摘要

情報システムは人々の組織的活動と共に立ち現れ、組織や社会の成立に不可欠なコミュニケーションの基盤として人々に認識される。その原動力は、一般的に考えられている情報技術の側ではなく、人々のメディアコミュニケーション行動にこそあり、その中において一定期間に形成される形式的な情報刺激の因果律に対する認識が情報システムの姿といえる。そのため、人々の意識や社会的情報システムデザインにおいても、構築しようとする情報処理システムが人々のメディアコミュニケーションの中に息づき、そのシステムをメディアとして組み入れたコミュニケーションを誘発できるか否かが、システム構築の成否にかかわる要因として挙げられる。本年度は、このような情報システム現象を捉え議論の俎上に載せるための社会学的観点に立脚した分析枠組みの措定を目指し、デジタル情報処理技術が社会的に認知され始めるまでの情報メディアの発展経緯をその独立性の確立にという点に着目して文献調査を行った。その成果として、情報メディアの発展段階はその受発信や扱いに関わる人々の身体性や組織属性からの分離独立として捉えるべきことと共に、その段階に応じて機能性が向上し、文明もそれについて進展しているとの確証を得ることができた。この研究成果については、昨年度までに得られた知見と共に、論文および出版物にまとめて公表する予定である。また、これまでの調査研究の成果として得てきた情報システムのメディア文化的特性を理解する礎となる事例として、現代社会におけるメディアコミュニケーション現象に関する調査研究に着目し、情報システムの観点から研究成果を事例として分析することを通して、メディアコミュニケーションに内包された情報システムの捉え方を例示すると共に、メディアとしての情報システムの認識と評価について整理分析し、紀要論文としてまとめて公表した。
