The subproject assumes that walking as an artistic practice offers an individual and social experience that is not only free from usual time constraints, but also enables a form of self-assurance, pausing and coming to terms with oneself. In addition to the classical methods of analysis in art history, three public, participatory art projects, in cooperation with subproject D12 (Thomaschke) among others, will be used to explore the special way in which otium (,Muße’) can be experienced in the context of Walking Art.
