项目摘要

中国の携帯電話製造業の事例をとり、新興国型グローバルバリューチェーンにおいてリードファームとなる中国企業のイノベーション能力がどのように形成されたのかという問題意識で論文を執筆し、国際学術誌むけに投稿を行っているが、現時点ではまだ採択が確定していない。次に、そのような能力構築を行った中国企業が周辺新興国のサプライヤを巻き込んで形成された新興国型グローバリューチェーンの実態を解明することをめざしたが、年度後半まで新型コロナをめぐる中国の混乱が続いたため、実態調査が実施できなかった。実態調査の実施はあきらめ、民間調査会社が実施している調査資料を精査することによって、中国携帯企業の海外直接投資、特に対インドむけの直接投資の分析を始めた。こちらの分析はまだ途上であり、2010年代中頃のインド地場系大手企業（例えば、Micromax)のバリューチェーンの分析を行う段階にとどまっている。現段階では、当該時期のインド地場系大手企業の製品開発や調達プロセスが中国国内のデザインハウスやODMに全面的に依存している事例が多くみられることなどから、インド国内市場の特性を熟知し、インド国内市場において中国企業の主な競争相手となるべきインド地場系企業の技術能力そのものの弱さが、それ以後の中国ブランド企業のインド国内製造とインド市場におけるシェア拡大を可能とした一つの背景なのではないかという印象を得るにとどまっている。
