わが国では，道徳が教科として位置づけられ，道徳教育の効果的な授業実践のため，新たな教材開発が求められている。子どもの道徳性の伸長には道徳感情の育成が重要との指摘がある。それらの指摘をもとに，教材を開発するためには，心理学の手法や知見を用いて従来の道徳教材を検証し，子どもの道徳感情の学習をふまえた物語の開発，また道徳の教科化のねらいにある幼小連携を含めた教材が必要となる。そこで，本研究は，道徳感情とされる罪悪感と恥に着目し，幼児期，児童期を対象とした新たな道徳教材の開発を進めることを目的とした。昨年度に引き続き，本年度は研究の第３段階として，道徳感情にもとづく新教材を幼稚園，小学校に向けて公開し，実践者からの評価，フィードバックを得ることによって，教材の汎用性を高めることを目的としていた。しかしながら，現下の状況により，幼稚園，小学校での調査，また学校現場教諭との検討が難しい時期が続き，目的の達成が十分にいたらなかった。そのため，第２段階で明らかになった道徳感情が喚起される場面，すなわち罪悪感では他者に対して迷惑をかける，物に損害を与えるなどの場面，また恥では公共の場面で自分が失敗をする場面などの精査を行い，それらを題材とする絵本型の道徳教材の作成に改めて取り組んだ。絵本型の道徳教材について，学校現場の先生方と研究者で討議したところ，絵本の内容を人形劇として幼稚園児等に活用できる可能性について検討した。その結果，絵本の内容を人形劇として制作し，その内容が罪悪感を喚起するのかを実験的に検証することとなった。　引き続き，幼稚園，小学校の状況を考慮しつつ，作成した新たな道徳教材の実践を目指し，また実践後の評価をもとに学校現場での展開を具現化したいと考える。
