项目摘要

本研究の目的は、乳児期から老年期まで生涯発達の観点から「メディア情報リテラシー(MIL)生涯発達理論」を世界で初めて体系的に構築し、各発達段階でのワークショップ（WS）実践により、MIL理論の効果を検証することである。当初の計画に則って、2018年度は、UNESCOのMILを元に本研究代表者の「MIL育成のフレームワーク」を踏まえ、エリクソンの心理社会的発達理論を参照し、MIL生涯発達理論を試案した。2019年度は、新たにOECDが世界的に提唱している社会情動的スキルを取り入れ、教育文脈からMIL生涯発達理論を強化し、UNESCOがSwedenで主催したMIL国際会議において発表した。国際会議の参加者から多くの有意義なフィードバックを得られることができ、実践に向けて方向性が定まった。ところが、2020・2021年度は、国内外でCovid-19の感染が深刻化し、WS準備を進めていたが実行が叶わなかった。2022年度は、Covid-19第6・第7波の合間に、児童期・思春期・青年期・成人期・老人期の計8回、WSを実践できた。特に思春期は7・9月に「はじめての動画作り」WSの初級・中級編に挑戦し、その成果を11月メディア学会で発表した。WSの事前アンケートで、ソーシャルネイティブのZ世代の日常からSNSで仲間を評価したりされたりする敏感な反応が見られた。そこでWSでは、思春期のMIL発達段階で確立したいスキルとして、社会情動的スキル「自尊心」「自信」を設定し、動画の制作活動を組み立てた。事後アンケートからレジリエンスや達成感が明示され、テキストマイニングでは、MIL基本概念の体験的実感と危険性察知に関する語が共起ネットワークに表出した。WS実践の結果から思春期のMIL発達課題「アイデンティティの葛藤に基づく協調的情報探索」の妥当性が示唆された。
