项目摘要

本年度は、昨年度にdiscussion paperとして公表した論文について、当該分野のトップジャーナルに投稿し、改定依頼を受けた。そして、その改訂依頼に基づいて、既存のデータの追加的な解析、及び、追加実験の実施とそのデータの解析・解釈を進めた。本論文は、標準的な経済理論においては、ネットワークを通じて情報財を取引する場合、複製を通じた競争が発生することで、取引価格が下がることが指摘されているが、それを実験で検証した。本プロジェクトで得た実験結果では、情報財が実際に複製された後の競争では確かに価格が下がったが、これは理論が想定したよりもはるかに小さい度合いに留まった。また、情報財のコピーが行われる前の時点である最初の取引においても、理論上は価格が下がるはずであったが、データではむしろ上がるという逆転現象が確認され、結果、理論が想定するよりもはるかに大きな収入が、情報財の初期所有者に留まることが確認された。これは、標準的な理論がそのままのかたちでは現実からかけ離れている可能性を示唆している。本年度行った追加実験では、この、理論からの乖離が生じる理由を解明するのに即した実験環境を設定した。また、被験者の個性のデータを収集し、それが影響を与えている可能性についても検討できるようにした。こうした追加実験のデータを活用し、ジャーナルのレフリーからの要求に応えられるよう、論文の改訂を進めている。
