The comparatively new research field of digital humanities / digital classics, which is very much dependent on technology-based methods, has so far shown several desiderates in the electronic publishing world with regard to domain-specific requirements, which will be addressed by the further development of the eJournal Digital Classics Online: the establishment of a new, lower-threshold document workflow for authors and copyeditors, and the development of a domain specific research data management.
